Montreal, April 24, 2009 – Campagna Motors is delighted to announce that it is partnering with OptaMotive to compete in the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE. With a prize purse of over $10 million, this competitive race is designed to inspire the development of super fuel-efficient vehicles. The partnership’s objective is to build a commercially viable and appealing vehicle capable of getting the equivalent of 100 miles or more per gallon of gas (2.35 litres per 100 km) while maintaining the performance of a race car! |

OptaMotive’s entry will use the T-REX as the basis on which to create an electric version of the unique motor vehicle. OptaMotive team leader Mark Demers believes that: “The T-REX is the perfect vehicle for our project because of its light weight and compact chassis design.” |
|
|
Campagna Motors will hand over an engineless T-REX to the OptaMotive team at The Guy Show being held in Ottawa on April 25 and 26. André Morissette, President of Campagna Motors, states: “This is a unique opportunity for the OptaMotive team to evaluate the adaptation potential of the T-REX to an electric motor and to promote an environmentally sustainable technology.” |

Prindiville Prestige LP-640
I don’t want to mess this up so here it is as written on James List:
British tuner Prindiville Prestige specializes in creating one-off, bespoke cars to an individual client’s precise - you might even say perverse - specifications. Frank Sinatra supposedly wanted his Lamborghini Miura upholstered in buffalo foreskins; that would be no problem for these guys. Just take a look at the Murcielago LP-640 they just basically re-designed from the ground up - the interior modifications alone run to €330,000. That’s for saddle-tanned leather, hand-finished aluminum accents and specially engineered aluminum air vents, for starters.
Outside, all of the bodywork with the exception of the front compartment lid has been redesigned in carbon fibre - even the roof panel. There’s a bolder, more assertive front valance, eye-catching sills, a more dynamic rear valance through housing a specially designed titanium sports exhaust system, handleless doors with remote electric opening, and a restyled engine bay cover with transparent cooling louvres. To protect all you can also have miniature cameras installed in each of the door mirrors feeding images to a monitor in the cabin. Buffalo foreskins are extra.

Now if I could only get the Dark Bike listed on James List…
No commentsThe Pirate Bay Found GUILTY
All 4 members in The Pirate Bay trail have been found guilty. Sentenced to up to 1 year and jail and are to pay $3.6 million in fines evenly between the four of them. This is only the start and since Pirate Bay was found guilty, I guess the next logical step will be to go after BitTorrent and then the ISPs. We;ll have to wait and see how all of the appeals go. Interestign to note that all 4 got the same sentence and were treated as a group instead of how much they actually contributed…
